Who wore it best?

We all saw the celebrities glammed up for the red carpet at the golden globes a few nights ago.  After reading all the 'fashion police' and 'bloggers' input on who did it right or wrong this year we feel it's our turn to cast our votes.

Everyone turned heads at Black Swan winner Natalie Portman as she showed up with her baby bump in a pale pink gown with red  rose embellishments by Viktor & Rolf with a matching clutch and Tiffany jewels. We think she looked pretty in pink and her baby bump made the perfect accessory!

Angelina Jolie suprised even the harshest of critics when she showed up in simething other than black! Not only did she pull off the emerald green Atelier Versace, but she did it with her usual class and sophistication. We've seen this look before on the red carpet, but this time it has a more vintage feel which works well for Angie.

The color that seemed to be an ongoing trend of the red carpet and fashionistas alike was nude. Nude is a hard tone to pull off against your skin unless you have the hair and make up and even then it can be a it tricky since it seems to wash even the hottest of people out.

It came as a shock to say the least when star Emma Stone appeared without her red locks and instead with a bleach blonde pixie cut. We almost didn't recognize her!
Not only that but she wore a nude gown by Calvin Klein which didn't flatter her figure at all. Cap sleeves seemed to melt perfectly with her arms and you couldn't tell where the dress started or ended. Emma, we vote for your long red hair! That would've been more fitting.

We think overall the celebs looked great this year with a few exceptions. Unfortunately the nude trend was not one of the highlights and very few were able to pull it off. The ones that chose emerald green, black and reds as their palettes seemed to be knock outs this season.

  1. I agree, Emma Stone did not pull off the red carpet as a "nude" Gwen Stacy! Apparently she's a natural blonde, though, so I suppose I'll chalk it up to hair style. Maybe. She looked good during the show. And how about my beloved Milla Jovovich? She was really giving it to the camera when presenting awards! And Halle Berry... Okay, I'd better cut myself off there!

  2. Yes, and don't forget Olivia Wilde, Anne Hathaway! I have to admit the men all looked well groomed this season with the exception of a rare few (we were expecting those though.
